01 · FIRMWARE UPDATE

Update Your Camera for HB1 Pairing

Kit-included cameras work directly with CentralHub. Only supported add-on cameras purchased later may need a firmware update before pairing.

Check the camera's System Version

Open your camera's settings in VicoHome and find System Version. Check the camera itself, not the HB1 CentralHub version.

If the camera's System Version is 1.19.41 or earlier, follow the upgrade steps. Cameras on a later version can pair directly.

Before you start

  • A microSD card formatted as FAT32
  • An SD / microSD card reader
  • A desktop computer or laptop

Alternatively, use a compatible phone with an OTG card reader.

Prepare the microSD card on a computer

Download the firmware on your computer, then use a card reader to copy it to your microSD card. Copy this page link to continue on your computer.

Download upgrade.fw

After downloading, copy upgrade.fw to the root directory of a FAT32 SD card.

Downloading alone does not upgrade the camera. Keep the filename exactly upgrade.fw, copy it outside any folder on the SD card, then insert the card into the powered-off camera.

Firmware upgrade steps

  1. Prepare the microSD card

    Use a blank microSD card formatted as FAT32. Back up any existing files before formatting, which erases the card.

  2. Download upgrade.fw

    Download the firmware to your desktop computer or laptop.

  3. Copy the firmware using a card reader

    Connect the card to your computer with a card reader. Copy upgrade.fw to the card's root directory, outside any folder. Keep the filename exactly upgrade.fw. Safely eject the card.

  4. Insert the SD card

    Power off the camera, then insert the prepared microSD card.

  5. Power on and wait

    The upgrade starts automatically. The indicator is solid red during the upgrade. Wait for the upgrade completion prompt before proceeding.

  6. Remove the card and reset

    After the upgrade is complete, remove the microSD card and double-press the camera's power button to reset it. Continue with the HB1 pairing guide.

After the update is complete, connect your camera to HB1.

02 · ADD YOUR CAMERA

Add an Extra Camera to HB1 CentralHub

Add a supported extra camera to your existing HB1 system in VicoHome. Complete any required camera firmware update first.

Ready to pair?

Keep the camera powered on and within 1 meter of HB1 CentralHub during pairing.

Camera pairing steps

  1. Open VicoHome

    On the Home page, tap CentralHub Online.

  2. Add a device

    On the CentralHub page, tap + Add Device.

  3. Find your camera and start pairing

    Keep the powered-on camera within 1 meter of HB1. CentralHub searches for nearby unpaired cameras. Select your camera and tap Pair.

  4. Confirm pairing is complete

    Wait for Powered On, or for your camera to appear under CentralHub. Pairing is then complete.
